One look at the boats of the Apreamare shipyard is enough to immediately and unmistakably say that they come from the Mediterranean and that they were most likely built by Italians. Moreover, when you just look at these boats, your imagination instantly conjures up picturesque coastlines of the Riviera, bathed in sunshine, a chilled bottle of good wine and the gentle lapping of the waves.
Yes, we have the luxurious Riva motorboats and all those classic varnished wooden tenders on which you absolutely must be in a white shirt and a cigar in hand, but the soul of Apreamare is reborn from an earlier time when the practicality and seaworthiness of the gozzo boats were of paramount importance.
You can directly feel this boatbuilding tradition, this history becomes almost tangible. In the fishing villages you can still see these traditional wooden boats, which probably inspired the designers of Apreamare, among whom you will find names such as Marco Casali and Umberto Tagliavini.
President Cataldo Aprea tries to preserve the style of his boats, which has now become so recognizable, but does not hesitate to fully exploit all the innovations available in boat building. Moreover, the Gozzo 35 variation with outboard engines definitely takes a bold step away from the classics and, perhaps, this version was aimed at the American market as well.
The Gozzo 45 is the next model in the line. The increase in size has not affected the preservation of the excellent style of these Neapolitan boats. It is still an amazing cruiser with a walk-around deck, but now the length of almost 14 meters has allowed the design of cabins of incredible habitability.
The shipyard recently announced a new model: Gozzo 48 Cabin. An incredibly luxurious cruiser for its size, in the interiors of which wood, fabric and leather are combined in ideal proportions. This semi-custom boat can be configured with two or three cabins and a choice of deck layouts. According to the shipyard, this model has the most spacious galley of any yacht in its size class.
The Gozzo 48 Cabin comes with twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 engines as standard, but can be equipped with twin 700hp or 800hp engines as an option.
Then comes the flagship Maestro 88, which is almost 26 meters long. These are fast (up to 30 knots) and seaworthy yachts. Oddly enough, the Apreamare philosophy can be seen here too, and even the presence of a flybridge did not prevent this. The interiors feature many excellent design solutions, and the huge capacity of these yachts will pleasantly surprise you.
Apreamare motorboats are calm and reliable, like loyal friends, but they can also be romantic lovers with burning eyes. However, the unique style and the nautical soul will always be the strongest points of these amazing and extremely elegant yachts.
