Designer Ignacio Mariani has come up with his vision of a boat based on the Trimonoran hull by Jelle Bilkert and AnwigemA.
The idea behind the E-15 is based on the desire for clean lines and simple contours of the superstructure, as well as, obviously, the desire to create a bright saloon with excellent panoramic views and a visually large interior volume. The latter point is important, since the boat is only 15 meters LOA. This is, of course, not a little, but not that much either. On the other hand, Trimonoran hulls allow for the construction of truly wide yachts. The E-15 concept, for example, has a beam of 6.4 m.
Ignacio Mariani also offers us an alternative option – an open boat model. We have not yet seen any concepts based on Jelle Bilkert hulls in white and we must say, these yachts look stunning.
Future owners of such boats will definitely like their superiority over monohulls in terms of stability and seaworthiness. What they will love even more is the fuel (or electricity, in the case of the electric Trimonoran model) savings that this hull provides at medium and high speeds, which reach 30% compared to a classic.
